BSNL sets New Record with lakhs of New Customers

New Delhi:

In July, many SIM consumers in India faced higher costs because the three major telecom companies—Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea—raised their prices for postpaid and prepaid recharge plans by up to 35%.

This price hike made almost all recharge plans more expensive, leading to increased spending for consumers.

However, BSNL, India’s government telecom company, did not raise its prices, offering cheaper tariff plans compared to the others.

BSNL’s Growing Popularity in Andhra Pradesh

As a result of the price increases by Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea, many Indian users switched to BSNL.

In the past month, BSNL saw a significant rise in new users, particularly in Andhra Pradesh, where over one lakh BSNL SIM cards were activated within just 20 days.

This surge in new users highlights the growing trust in BSNL’s services and the company’s efforts to improve its offerings.

BSNL took advantage of the situation by improving its network capacity and constructing new towers to handle the increased demand.

Additionally, the company introduced attractive offers in its data plans and other services, which helped attract more customers.

Increased Customer Base and Future Plans

The sudden rise in BSNL customers in Andhra Pradesh is expected to boost the company’s market share in the state.

BSNL aims to continue adding more customers and providing them with better connectivity at lower costs.

This trend is not limited to Andhra Pradesh; many customers across India are also switching from private companies to BSNL.

Thousands of people have ported their SIMs to BSNL or chosen it over Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea for new SIMs.

BSNL is actively encouraging people to switch from expensive recharge plans to its more affordable options, promising better connectivity.

The company is also working quickly to improve its network and launch 4G services nationwide.

It remains to be seen how much BSNL will benefit in this era of expensive recharge plans.
