Just before the New Year, BSNL has rolled out a special gift for its customers.
From December 26, the company introduced a new prepaid plan with one full year validity.
Along with this, BSNL is also offering extra data benefits on select recharge plans to make Christmas and New Year more rewarding.
BSNL ₹2,799 Annual Plan: Full Year, Full Benefits
BSNL announced its new prepaid plan through its official social media account.
Priced at ₹2,799, this plan is designed for users who want a long-term and budget-friendly connection.
The plan comes with 365 days of validity.
Users get unlimited voice calls across India, including free national roaming.
For internet usage, the plan offers 3GB high-speed data per day.
It also includes 100 free SMS every day.
If you break it down, the plan costs around ₹8 per day, making it a strong option for heavy users.
₹2,399 vs ₹2,799 Plan: What’s the Difference?
BSNL already has an annual plan priced at ₹2,399, which offers unlimited calling and 2GB data per day.
With the new ₹2,799 plan, users get 1GB extra data daily.
This adds up to about 365GB of additional data in a year for just ₹400 more.
In simple terms, each extra GB costs roughly ₹1.10, making the new plan a better deal for regular internet users.
New Year Data Bonus for Existing Users
BSNL has also announced special holiday offers on existing recharge plans.
Customers who recharge with the ₹2,399 annual plan between December 15 and January 31, 2026, will get 2.5GB data per day instead of 2GB.
Users of shorter-term plans are not left out.
BSNL is offering 0.5GB extra data per day on its ₹225, ₹347, and ₹485 recharge plans during the festive period.
Jio’s Year-Long Plan for Hassle-Free Usage
If you want to avoid frequent recharges, Reliance Jio also has a long-term option.
The company offers a prepaid plan priced at ₹1,748 with a validity of 336 days.
With a single recharge, your Jio SIM stays active for nearly 11 months.
The plan includes unlimited calling to all networks and free SMS, making it a convenient choice for users who prefer long validity without repeated recharges.
With new plans and festive data bonuses, both BSNL and Jio are giving users strong reasons to switch to long-term prepaid options.
