An IndiGo flight traveling from Kochi to Delhi made an emergency landing in Nagpur on Tuesday, 17 June, after receiving a bomb threat.
The flight number 6E 2706 was safely landed and all passengers and crew are safe. Security forces were quickly deployed at the Nagpur airport, and the matter is currently under investigation.
Bomb threat appears to be a hoax
As per initial findings, the bomb threat seems to be false. Authorities have not found any suspicious objects on the plane so far. A thorough security check is being carried out to ensure complete safety.
The threat was received after takeoff from Kochi, and the flight was diverted to Nagpur, where it landed safely. Police and fire teams immediately reached the airport to begin checking.

Air India flight delayed after engine fault in Kolkata
On Tuesday morning, Air India flight AI180, flying from San Francisco to Mumbai, was delayed during a scheduled stop in Kolkata after a technical fault was found in the left engine.
The flight arrived in Kolkata at 1:45 am, and passengers were asked to deboard around 5:20 am after the fault couldn’t be fixed immediately. A special permit was obtained to deboard passengers at the airport.
An Air India official said that the captain informed passengers the decision was made for safety reasons.
The airline arranged breakfast for all 212 passengers. Many were shifted to hotels, while others were booked on alternate flights to Mumbai.
