The online registration process has already started in Ara, Sheikhpura, Fatuha (Patna), and Kesaria (Motihari).

Just like other digital services, land registry has now moved online, allowing people to buy and sell land smoothly without any unnecessary trouble.

Time-Saving and Transparent System

Starting April 1, 2025, the paperless registry process will be implemented across all 137 registry offices in Bihar.

This will simplify and streamline the registration process, ensuring greater transparency and reducing fraud.

Citizens will no longer need to visit registry offices frequently, saving both time and effort.

Moreover, this change will not negatively impact scribes and stamp vendors.

Instead of manual work, they will transition to online services, securing their livelihood while becoming part of the digital system.

Reducing Corruption and Land Disputes

The move toward digital registration is expected to bring greater transparency in government offices, helping to curb corruption.

Additionally, the new system will immediately update the seller’s land records, ensuring that once a sale is completed, the seller cannot resell the same land to another party.

This will significantly reduce land disputes and fraud cases, making property transactions safer and more reliable.
