With Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali approaching, the Bihar government has made a big announcement for labourers.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar declared that Rs 5,000 will be given to labourers before these festivals.
This announcement was made on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti. With assembly elections coming up soon in Bihar, the government is introducing several schemes to support women, students, labourers, and other groups.
The Bihar government says that transferring money directly to labourers’ accounts will improve their quality of life.
It will help them celebrate the festivals more comfortably and support their social and economic growth. CM Nitish Kumar shared this update on his official Twitter account.
Labourers to Receive Rs 5,000
While wishing Prime Minister Modi on his birthday, the CM said it’s a happy coincidence that funds are being transferred to the accounts of workers registered under the Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
Today, under the Annual Clothing Assistance Scheme, Rs 5,000 will be sent to the accounts of 16,04,929 construction workers. In total, Rs 802 crore 46 lakh 45 thousand will be distributed.
