India’s homegrown digital payments app, BHIM, has launched a new campaign called “Garv Se Swadeshi” to encourage more people to adopt digital payments.

To mark its 10th anniversary this month, BHIM is offering Rs 20 cashback to new users on transactions of Rs 20 or more.

The campaign is designed to make it easy for first-time users to start using digital payments and to boost adoption across all sections of society.

Earn Up to Rs 300 Cashback Every Month

According to NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL), users can earn up to Rs 300 cashback per month by using BHIM for everyday payments.

This includes payments for groceries, bus or metro tickets, mobile recharges, electricity and gas bills, and fuel purchases.

Lalitha Nataraj, MD and CEO of NBSL, said the campaign focuses on real, everyday payment needs.

She added, “Our goal is to bring first-time users into digital payments and help them build lasting habits for daily transactions.”

BHIM App Now Supports 15+ Languages

The updated BHIM app now supports more than 15 Indian languages and provides an ad-free experience.

It is designed to work smoothly even in low-internet areas.

The app also offers new features like:

Split Expenses – Share bills with friends or family

Family Mode – Manage payments for dependents

Spend Analytics – Track your expenses

Action Needed – Alerts for important payment actions

UPI Circle – Authorise trusted people to make payments

UPI Circle: Convenient for Family and Staff

The UPI Circle Full Delegation feature, launched in November, allows users to give trusted people — such as family members, children, or staff — permission to make UPI payments directly from their account within a fixed monthly limit.

This feature adds convenience while keeping payments secure and controlled.

UPI Leads Global Digital Payments

According to a recent IMF report, UPI now accounts for nearly 49% of all global real-time digital payment transactions, surpassing major systems in countries like Brazil, Thailand, China, and South Korea.

With campaigns like “Garv Se Swadeshi,” BHIM aims to strengthen India’s position in digital payments and make cashless transactions accessible to everyone.
