After Christmas Day on December 25, banks will remain closed tomorrow, Friday, December 26, in certain regions.
Banks in Aizawl, Kohima, and Shillong will observe local holidays to celebrate Christmas with enthusiasm.
Both public and private bank branches will remain closed in these cities, while banking operations in other parts of the country will continue as usual.
Online Banking and ATM Services Still Available
Even though branches will be closed, UPI, mobile banking, internet banking, and ATMs will continue to function normally.
Customers can carry out online transactions, bill payments, and ATM cash withdrawals.
However, tasks requiring branch visits, such as cheque deposits or document submission, will have to wait until the branches reopen.

For December 2025, holidays include events such as:

Christmas and related celebrations
Death anniversaries of notable figures
New Year’s Eve and local festivals
Bank holidays can vary by state, so it’s important to check local notifications if you have branch-dependent banking needs.
