Why Is There a Holiday on November 25th?
The Delhi government has declared November 25th, 2025, a public holiday to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.
Uttar Pradesh has also shifted this holiday from November 24th to November 25th.
On this day, all government offices, private and government schools, colleges, and other institutions in the state will remain closed.
Will Banks Be Closed on November 25th?
Despite the public holiday, banks will not be closed in Uttar Pradesh on November 25th.
According to the RBI’s official holiday list, Guru Tegh Bahadur Martyrdom Day is not included as a bank holiday.
This means all banks will operate normally on November 25th, and customers can visit their branches as usual.

November 30 – Sunday
