In September 2024, banks will be closed for 15 days across various states in India.
This includes six days of weekend holidays and nine days due to festivals and anniversaries.
According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, holidays include the second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays.
The RBI sets these holidays for public and private banks, ensuring customers can plan their banking needs accordingly.

September 4 (Wednesday): Banks closed in Assam for Tirubhava Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva.
September 7 (Saturday): Ganesh Chaturthi—Banks closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Goa.
September 14 (Second Saturday): Karma Puja/First Onam—Banks closed nationwide.
September 16 (Monday): Eid-e-Milad—Banks closed in Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Jammu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.
