With the festive season now over, people are getting back to their normal routines.
As November approaches, it’s important to note that banks across India will remain closed for 11 days this month.
These include weekly holidays such as all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays.
If you have important bank work coming up, make sure to check the holiday list issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to avoid any inconvenience.
Many of these holidays are due to regional festivals, while a few apply nationwide.
List of Bank Holidays in November 2025
November 1 – Karnataka Rajyotsava / Igas-Bagwal
Banks in Karnataka will be closed for Karnataka Rajyotsava, which marks the state’s formation day.
In Uttarakhand, banks will be closed for the Igas-Bagwal festival, celebrated 11 days after Diwali.
November 5 – Guru Nanak Jayanti / Kartik Purnima
Banks in many states will remain closed for Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima, and Raas Purnima.
Major cities observing this include Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bhopal, Ranchi, Dehradun, Jammu, and Hyderabad.
November 7 – Wangala Festival (Meghalaya)
Banks in Shillong will remain closed for the Wangala Festival, a harvest celebration of the Garo tribe.
November 8 – Kanakadasa Jayanti
In Karnataka, banks will be closed to mark Kanakadasa Jayanti, honoring the poet and reformer Kanakadasa.
Since it’s also the second Saturday, banks will be closed across the country.
November 11 – Lhabab Duchen (Sikkim)
Banks in Sikkim will be closed for Lhabab Duchen, one of the major Buddhist festivals.
Regular Weekly Holidays and Online Services
In addition to these festival holidays, banks will also remain closed on November 2, 8, 9, 16, 22, 23, and 30 (Sundays and second/fourth Saturdays).
However, digital banking services such as ATMs, internet banking, and mobile banking will continue to function normally. You can still carry out transactions online without any interruption.
