This list is created considering state festivals, national holidays, and other significant events.

If banks need to close on any day not included in the official holiday list, RBI issues a separate circular or notification for it.

How to Make Payments on a Bank Holiday?

Services like net banking and UPI remain functional even on bank holidays. If you need cash, you can withdraw it from an ATM.

However, for cheque deposits or cash transactions, it’s best to complete them in advance, considering the holiday schedule.
