Banks Closed in Tamil Nadu Due to Thiruvalluvar Day

Banks across Tamil Nadu will remain closed on January 16. As per the RBI holiday list, all bank branches in the state will be shut on this day.

The closure is due to Thiruvalluvar Day, which is celebrated in honor of the great Tamil saint and poet Thiruvalluvar.
If you live in Tamil Nadu and have banking work that requires a branch visit, it is advisable to plan it for another day.

Banks in all other states, except Tamil Nadu, will remain open as usual on January 16.
