There’s good news for fans of the Bajaj Pulsar 180. Bajaj Auto has relaunched this popular bike at a starting price of ₹1.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The model was discontinued in 2022, but now it’s back to fill the gap between the Pulsar 150 and the Pulsar 220F.
The new Pulsar 180 delivers 17hp power and 15Nm torque. It weighs 156 kg and comes with a 15-litre fuel tank, making it a practical option for daily rides as well as short trips.
Engine and Performance
The Pulsar 180 is powered by a 178.6cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. It produces 17 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 15 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
While the power output remains the same as the older version, torque has slightly increased by 0.8 Nm. Compared to the Pulsar 150, this bike offers 3hp more power and 1.75 Nm higher torque, giving it better performance on the road.
Suspension, Brakes and Ride Details
For braking, the bike gets a 280mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc along with ABS for added safety. It uses telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, similar to other classic Pulsar models.
The bike runs on 17-inch wheels with 90/120 section tubeless tyres (front and rear). It has a ground clearance of 165 mm, which is suitable for Indian roads.
Features and Price Comparison
The new Pulsar 180 comes with modern updates like an LED headlight and a negative LCD instrument cluster, similar to the updated Pulsar 150.
It is available in five color options: Black-Gold, Black-Blue, Black-Grey, Black-Red, and White. The bike comes in a single variant.
In terms of pricing, it is ₹12,000 costlier than the Pulsar 150 but ₹4,000 cheaper than its main rival, the TVS Apache RTR 180. This makes it a strong option in its segment.
Updated Dominar 350 Also Launched
Along with this, Bajaj has also introduced the updated Bajaj Dominar 350. It is priced at ₹1,99,998 and reportedly delivers 39 PS of power and 33.2 Nm torque.
With the return of the Pulsar 180, Bajaj is once again strengthening its popular Pulsar lineup, giving buyers more choices in the mid-range segment.
