People traveling on the Delhi–Faridabad route will soon have to spend more as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced revised toll charges at the Badarpur Flyover (Sarai) toll plaza. The new toll rates will be effective from midnight on August 31.
Small Increase for Cars
For cars, jeeps, and vans making a single trip, the toll will remain unchanged. But for multiple trips, the fee will go up by Re 1 per crossing. Commercial and heavy vehicles will see a Rs 2 increase, no matter how many times they pass.
The cost of monthly passes has also gone up, with hikes between Rs 16 and Rs 48. Because of this update, the issue of monthly passes has been temporarily paused, but it will resume on Saturday, September 2.

Toll Rate Review Happens Every Year
Toll fees are reviewed annually in September. Last year, there was no change, but this time the NHAI has decided to increase the charges.
Confirming this, NHAI Project Director Dheeraj Singh said, “The toll tax rates have been revised and will be effective from September 1.”
Govt Introduces FASTag Annual Pass
In related news, the central government has launched a new FASTag Annual Pass scheme, now available at around 1,150 toll plazas on national highways and expressways.
Launched on August 15, this pass allows non-commercial vehicles with valid FASTag to cross up to 200 toll plazas in a year for a one-time payment of Rs 3,000.
The pass can be purchased via the NHAI website or Highway travel app, and it gets activated within two hours of payment.
The scheme has already seen a positive response from highway users across the country.
