Audi to unveil 20 New Models by 2025, Investing €41 Billion

German luxury car manufacturer Audi has set its sights on an ambitious business expansion,

announcing plans to roll out over 20 new models across various markets by the end of 2025.

Audi AG’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Gernot Dollner, revealed the company’s ambitious strategy on Tuesday, emphasizing a commitment to electrify all major segments by 2027.

As part of this grand vision, Audi has earmarked a staggering 41 billion euros for capital expenditure spanning the period between 2024 and 2028.

Investment Allocation Breakdown

Of the total investment, Audi AG is allocating 11.5 billion euros towards the development of Internal Combustion Engines (ICEs), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs), and other segments.

The lion’s share of 29.5 billion euros, however, will be dedicated to Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and digitalization initiatives, reflecting Audi’s strategic pivot towards sustainable mobility solutions.

Model Rollout Strategy

Dollner outlined Audi’s roadmap for the introduction of new models,

highlighting the Audi Q6 e-tron as the vanguard of a comprehensive product initiative aimed at rejuvenating the company’s portfolio.

With plans for over 20 new models slated for 2024 and 2025, Audi enthusiasts can anticipate the debut of the A6 e-tron in summer 2024, followed by the A5 as the flagship model on the new Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) later in the year.

Additionally, the next generation of the popular Q5 series is also in the pipeline.

Forward-Looking Strategy

Emphasizing Audi’s preparedness for the future, Dollner affirmed the company’s unwavering commitment to economic, technological, and strategic readiness.

Despite ongoing discussions surrounding electric vehicles, Audi remains resolute in its conviction about the future of EVs.

Testament to this commitment, Audi witnessed a remarkable surge in electric vehicle sales,

delivering 1.78 lakh EV units in 2023—a staggering 51% increase compared to 2022.

Local Assembly Plans for EVs in India

In a bid to strengthen its presence in the burgeoning Indian market, Audi India is exploring the prospect of local assembly for electric vehicles (EVs).

By localizing assembly operations, Audi aims to offer EVs at competitive prices, thereby expanding its customer base in India.

Currently, Audi’s EV range in India comprises imported models,

including the Q8 50 e-tron, Q8 55 e-tron, Q8 Sportback 50 e-tron, Q8 Sportback 55 e-tron, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT.
