Bangalore-based Ather Energy is enhancing its electric two-wheelers to be top-notch.
The company is adding powerful features to its scooters, including long battery life, stylish designs, and easy access to charging stations.
Electric vehicle (EV) owners can now quickly find the nearest EV charging station using Google Maps.
Ather’s scooters will use the company’s official charging standard called Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS).
Partnership with Google for Better Charging Access
Ather Energy has teamed up with Google to improve charging station access. Their fast charging network, Ather Grid, uses the LECCS port.
Thanks to this partnership, Google Maps will now show live updates on Ather fast-charging stations and the Ather Grid network.
New chargers will be added to the map as they are installed.
LECCS is officially recognized as a plug type, so users can select it as their default connector on Google Maps.
When searching for ‘EV charger near me’ or ‘charging station,’ LECCS chargers will appear.
