If you are planning to buy a new Ather electric scooter, this update is important for you.
Ather Energy, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, has announced a price hike of up to ₹3,000 on its electric scooters. The new prices will come into effect from January 1, 2026.
Let’s understand which models will be affected and why the prices are going up.
Which Ather Models Will Become Costlier?
Ather Energy currently offers two main electric scooter ranges:
Ather 450 series, which is focused on performance
Ather Rizta, designed mainly for family use
At present, the ex-showroom prices in New Delhi for Ather scooters range between ₹1.14 lakh and ₹1.82 lakh. From January 2026, prices of all models under these two ranges are expected to increase.
Reason Behind the Price Hike
According to Ather Energy, the increase in prices is due to rising production costs. The main reasons include:
Higher global raw material prices
Increased cost of electronic components
Fluctuations in foreign exchange rates
Because of these factors, the company has decided to pass on some of the additional costs to customers.
December Buyers Can Save Money
There is some good news for customers planning to buy soon. Ather is currently offering an Electric December scheme. Under this offer, buyers in select cities can get benefits of up to ₹20,000.
Customers who purchase an Ather electric scooter in December can take advantage of these offers and save money before the price hike comes into effect.
