Apple iPad Pro M5 Launched in India at ₹99,900

Apple has launched its new iPad Pro in India, powered by the company’s latest M5 chip.

Many expected Apple to host a special October event for the announcement of new iPads and MacBooks, but the company unveiled the new lineup through a press release on its website.

iPad Pro Specifications

The new iPad Pro comes in 11-inch and 13-inch variants with an Ultra Retina XDR OLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,600 nits peak brightness, and 1,000 nits full-screen brightness.

The tablet is extremely slim — 5.1mm thick for the 13-inch model and 5.3mm for the 11-inch.

The M5 chip features four performance cores, six efficiency cores, a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine.

Apple claims the new chip delivers 30% faster GPU performance than the M4 and is 2.5 times faster than the M1.

The Neural Engine improves AI capabilities for tools like Image Playground and enhances performance for developers using Apple’s foundation models framework.

Connectivity also gets a boost with the Apple-designed C1X cellular modem, offering 50% faster data speeds and 30% lower power consumption.

The iPad Pro includes the N1 wireless chip supporting Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread, providing better stability on 5GHz networks and improved features like Hotspot and AirDrop.

For photography, the device sports a 12MP Wide rear camera with up to 5x digital zoom and auto image stabilization, along with a 12MP Center Stage front camera for selfies and video calls.

Price and Availability

The iPad Pro M5 is available for pre-order now and will go on sale from October 22 through Apple’s official website, its four retail stores in India, and authorized resellers.

The 11-inch variant is priced at ₹99,900, while the 13-inch model costs ₹1,29,900.
