Airtel has launched a Weekend Rollover Data Pack for prepaid users, allowing them to carry forward unused data from Monday to Friday and use it on Saturday and Sunday.
According to reports, this plan is currently available in select regions. Vi also offers a similar data rollover feature in many of its plans.
This is especially beneficial for users who don’t consume the same amount of data daily, as leftover data can be used over the weekend.
Airtel’s ₹59 Weekend Rollover Plan
As per TelecomTalk, Airtel has introduced a ₹59 prepaid pack in Haryana and North-East circles, featuring a data rollover option.
Plan Validity: 28 days
Type: Add-on pack (requires an active base plan with unlimited voice and daily data)
How It Works:
Unused data from Monday to Friday is carried forward to Saturday and Sunday.
For example, if a user has a 2GB daily limit but uses only 1GB on a particular day, the remaining 1GB will be added to the weekend data balance.
Additional Details
The saved data can be used for OTT streaming, video calls, and other services.
If the weekend data is also exhausted, speeds will be reduced to 64Kbps.
Airtel’s Focus on Customized Plans
Earlier this year, Airtel introduced separate recharge plans for calls and SMS services, following TRAI’s directive for telecom companies to offer dedicated voice and SMS tariff plans.
This new ₹59 add-on pack gives users more control over their data usage, making it a great option for those who need extra data flexibility over the weekend.
