Airtel launches IPTV Service for Select Airtel Black Customers

Airtel has brought exciting news for its customers by soft-launching its IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) service as part of the Airtel Black plan in select regions.

Airtel Black is the company’s premium postpaid offering that combines mobile, TV, and broadband services into one package.

Customers can customize their plans by bundling two or more services, and the best part is that they only need to pay a single bill for all of them.

Let’s take a closer look at the cities where this service is available and how it works.

Airtel Black IPTV service launched

With the launch of the IPTV service bundled with Airtel Black plans, customers can now enjoy high-quality digital content, according to TelecomTalk.

IPTV is a digital television broadcasting technology that delivers TV content over the Internet instead of traditional cable, satellite, or over-the-air signals.

It operates on a private, dedicated network using Internet Protocol (IP) to stream live TV channels, on-demand videos, and other multimedia content.

The content is delivered in real-time or on demand using streaming protocols, ensuring a seamless viewing experience.

“We have also begun testing IPTV, and we believe that once launched, it will make customer onboarding easier,” said Gopal Vittal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Bharti Airtel, during the company’s Q3 FY25 earnings call.

According to the report based on Vittal’s statement, Airtel has started testing or soft-launching its IPTV services in select markets.
