Airtel has introduced new prepaid and postpaid plans to ensure uninterrupted connectivity for users during flights.
With high-speed data, free calling minutes, and SMS services, these plans are designed to keep travelers connected to the world even at 30,000 feet above ground.
Similar offerings are available from Reliance Jio for international travelers on long-haul flights.
Plan Details:
Starting at Rs 195, Airtel’s in-flight roaming plans offer 250MB data, 100 minutes of outgoing calls, and 100 outgoing SMS, valid for 24 hours.
For enhanced benefits, users can opt for the Rs 295 plan with 500MB data or the Rs 595 plan with 1GB data, both offering similar calling and SMS benefits.
Notably, prepaid and postpaid customers enjoy the same pricing and benefits.
International Roaming Bundles:
For users seeking convenience, Airtel integrates these benefits into its international roaming plans.
Prepaid plans priced at Rs 2,997 and above automatically include 250MB data, 100 minutes of calls, and 100 SMS.
Similarly, postpaid plans priced at Rs 3,999 or higher offer identical benefits for seamless connectivity abroad.
Partnership and Coverage:
Airtel has partnered with UK-based in-flight telecom service provider Aeromobile to enable connectivity on 19 airlines operating across different international regions.
While specific airlines haven’t been disclosed, coverage is expected on flights served by Aeromobile.
Additionally, Airtel offers various channels for customer support during flights, including a dedicated WhatsApp number, round-the-clock contact center assistance, and access to the Airtel Thanks app for real-time monitoring and support.
