Air India Express has announced that its flights from the new Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) will begin on December 25, 2025, the same day the airport handles its first commercial flights.
The airline has launched services to Bengaluru and Delhi, and bookings are now open.
Initially, Air India Express will operate daily flights from Navi Mumbai to Bengaluru. Flights to Delhi will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays,
and Sundays. These routes will give NMIA direct connectivity to two major hubs in India.
More Flights From January 2026
The airline has confirmed that additional convenience will be offered from January 1, 2026. Starting that date, flights on both routes will operate twice a day.
This will give travelers options in both the morning and evening and help reduce congestion on the busy Bengaluru–Delhi route.
Full Schedule and Airline Expansion
Air India Express Managing Director Alok Singh said the airline is excited to be part of NMIA’s first day of operations.
He added that the new airport will boost Mumbai’s capacity and support future travel growth.
According to the press release, the airline is rapidly expanding its network in Maharashtra, with 130+ weekly flights from Mumbai and 90+ weekly flights from Pune.
From December 1, 2025, a twice-daily Nagpur–Bengaluru service will also begin. NMIA will further strengthen the airline’s capacity and reach.
Bengaluru Becomes the Fastest-Growing Hub
Bengaluru has now become Air India Express’s fastest-growing hub, with 530+ weekly flights.
The airline has recently added new domestic routes to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jodhpur, and Udaipur.
Direct international services have also started to Bangkok, Jeddah, Kuwait, and Riyadh.
