Delhi–Jammu Flight Returned Mid-Way
In another incident, an Air India Express flight from Delhi to Jammu had to return to Delhi due to a suspected GPS signal interference.
Flight IX2564 took off from Delhi at 11:04 AM instead of the scheduled 10:40 AM. It was supposed to land in Jammu at 12:05 PM, but returned mid-way as a precaution.
According to Flightradar24, the aircraft landed safely back in Delhi.
Why Was the Flight Turned Back?
Later, Air India Express explained in a statement, “Our Delhi–Jammu flight returned as a precautionary measure due to possible GPS signal issues.
We arranged another aircraft to take passengers to Jammu. We regret the inconvenience caused.”
The airline also said that such GPS signal interference incidents have happened before, especially when flying over sensitive regions.
