Air India launches Varanasi-Bangkok Flight

On Sunday, Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport added another international flight for residents of Purvanchal and Kashi. Air India Express has launched direct flights from Varanasi to Bangkok, operating every Sunday.

Air India Express flight IX-215 will depart from Varanasi at 12:35 PM and fly directly to Bangkok. Passengers will no longer need to travel through other cities, saving both time and money.

The return flight, IX-216, will leave Bangkok every Sunday and arrive in Varanasi at 9:35 PM.

According to Vikrant Singh, station manager of Air India Express, direct flights to major international destinations like Bangkok are expected to attract more foreign tourists to Varanasi.

This will boost tourism, hotels, local businesses, and employment opportunities. The flight is also important for religious tourism in Kashi.

Direct Flight from Varanasi to Navi Mumbai

Good news also comes for passengers traveling between Varanasi and Navi Mumbai. Akasa Air will start a daily direct flight service from February 17.

This will provide fast and convenient air connectivity between Purvanchal and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

According to airport officials, Akasa Air flight QP-2001 will depart from Varanasi at 6:50 AM and reach Navi Mumbai at 9:20 AM. The return flight, QP-2004, will leave Navi Mumbai at 6:20 PM and arrive in Varanasi at 8:50 PM.
