Tata Group-led airline Air India has introduced an early check-in service for passengers at Delhi Airport. This service is available at New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium metro stations.
It allows passengers, both domestic and international, to check in their baggage securely from the metro station directly to the airport. This initiative is aimed at making travel easier and more convenient.
Timings and Check-In Details
The early check-in facility operates daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Air India says this service helps passengers avoid traffic, save time, and ensures a comfortable journey from the city to the airport. The counters are located at:
New Delhi Metro Station – concourse level
Shivaji Stadium Metro Station – concourse level, next to the VFS Global Office
Official check-in times:
Domestic flights: 12 hours to 2 hours before departure
International flights: 4 hours to 2 hours before departure
How to Use the Early Check-In Facility
Visit the city check-in counter at the metro station.
Complete your check-in, hand over your baggage, and collect your boarding pass.
Take the Airport Express Metro line to Delhi Airport (T3) – travel time is around 20 minutes.
Arrive at the airport in time, as boarding gates close 20 minutes before the flight. Make sure to complete security checks and immigration procedures before boarding.
