If you’ve already been to Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, or Vietnam, it’s time to explore another beautiful Southeast Asian destination — the Philippines, especially its capital city, Manila.

Air India Launches Direct Flights to Manila

Earlier, there were no direct flights from Delhi to Manila. Travelers had to take connecting flights through Singapore, Bangkok, or Kuala Lumpur, which often took an entire day to reach.

Now, Air India has introduced the first-ever non-stop flight from Delhi to Manila, reducing travel time to just six hours — no transits or long waits.

This new flight will operate five days a week — Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

According to Air India CEO Campbell Wilson, this route will not only boost tourism but also strengthen business and cultural relations between India and the Philippines.

The Philippines is also offering 14 days of visa-free entry for Indian travelers — no need to pay for a visa!

Warm Welcome and Rich Culture

Upon landing in Manila, you’ll be greeted by the warm smiles of the locals and the pleasant sea breeze. Instead of flower garlands, Filipinos welcome guests with beautiful pearl necklaces.

The country’s culture reflects a mix of Spanish, British, and American influences, creating a unique charm.

Suggested 4-Day Manila Itinerary

Day 1: Explore Old Manila (Intramuros)
Visit the historic Intramuros, also known as Old Manila City. It feels like Delhi’s Red Fort or Chandni Chowk but with a Spanish touch. Don’t miss Fort Santiago, San Agustin Church, and Luneta Park.

Try horseback riding, explore old distilleries, and taste the famous mango-flavored liquor, a Philippine specialty.

Day 2: National Museum and Bonifacio Global City (BGC)
Visit the National Museum, where you can see ancient gold jewelry, coins, utensils, and royal artifacts.

You can even walk on gold — it’s displayed under a glass floor!
Next, explore Bonifacio Global City (BGC) — a modern hub full of offices, restaurants, and shopping centers.

It feels like Delhi’s Connaught Place. Interestingly, Infosys is the only Indian company with an office here.

Day 3: Day Trip to Pagsanjan Falls
Located about 2.5 hours from Manila, Pagsanjan Falls is one of the most stunning natural attractions in the Philippines.

Enjoy a scenic boat ride through rivers and mountains, surrounded by waterfalls. Don’t miss Devil’s Cave, another popular spot nearby.

Day 4: Experience Manila’s Nightlife and Shopping
Manila’s nightlife rivals that of Dubai, with plenty of casinos, bars, and rooftop pubs offering breathtaking city views.

For shopping, visit the Mall of Asia, or for affordable buys, head to Greenhills, where you’ll find jewelry, food, and local goods.

Before leaving, don’t forget to buy dried mangoes, a must-try local delicacy.

Why You Should Visit Manila

A return ticket from Delhi to Manila costs around ₹45,000. Hotels, food, and local travel are also quite budget-friendly.

You can easily find affordable hotels, and the currency rate is favorable — ₹1.60 equals 1 Philippine peso.

If you’ve already explored Singapore, Thailand, or Bali, it’s time to add the Philippines to your travel list.

Here, you’ll experience everything in one destination — history, beaches, waterfalls, nightlife, warm hospitality, and great value for money.
