As summer holidays kick off in various Indian states, Air India unveils a delightful surprise for travelers by introducing direct flights from New Delhi to Zurich, Switzerland’s capital.
Scheduled to commence from June 16, 2024,
these flights mark another milestone in Air India’s European network, now encompassing seven cities.
Convenient Schedule for Seamless Travel
Operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, Air India’s new route to Zurich will be serviced by two-class configured Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
Departing from Delhi at 02:05 pm, flight AI151 is scheduled to arrive in Zurich at 07:15 pm local time.
The return flight, AI152, departs Zurich at 08:50 pm, reaching Delhi at 08:05 am the following day.
This timetable facilitates easy connections for passengers traveling to popular destinations like Bangkok, Colombo, Singapore, and more.
Strengthening Ties Between India and Switzerland
Campbell Wilson, CEO of Air India, highlighted Switzerland’s popularity among Indian tourists and emphasized the flights’ role in bolstering economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
With over 250 Swiss companies operating in India and vice versa, along with a significant Indian expatriate community, these flights are poised to meet the increasing demand for both leisure and business travel.
Expanding European Network
Air India’s expansion in Europe now includes 60 weekly flights to key destinations such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Milan, Paris, and Vienna.
Booking for New Delhi to Zurich flights is already available through various channels, including the Air India website, mobile app, travel agents, and online travel agencies.
