Air India Begins Restoring Flights after Safety Pause

After the incident involving flight AI171 on June 12, 2025, Air India had reduced several flights under a “Safety Pause.”

This pause allowed the airline to conduct extra safety checks on its Boeing 787 aircraft and adjust for longer travel times due to the closure of airspace in Pakistan and the Middle East.
