Businesses that use commercial LPG cylinders have received good news from July 1.

Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders across the country, bringing relief to restaurants, hotels, caterers and other commercial users.

However, there is no change in the price of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders.

Household cooking gas rates remain the same in the latest monthly price revision.

Commercial LPG Becomes Cheaper Across Major Cities

The price cut varies by city and is part of the monthly revision based on international LPG prices.

Here are the new prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders:

Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Stay the Same

While commercial users have benefited from lower prices, households will continue to pay the same amount for cooking gas.

The price of a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains:

Delhi: ₹942

Mumbai: ₹941.50

Kolkata: ₹968

Chennai: ₹957.50

Hyderabad: ₹994

Bengaluru: ₹944.50

Lucknow: ₹979.50

Patna: ₹1,031.50

Noida: ₹939.50

Jaipur: ₹945.50

Domestic LPG prices differ from state to state because of variations in local taxes.

Price Cut Comes After Recent Hikes

The July reduction comes after commercial LPG prices were increased in the previous months.

On June 1, oil marketing companies had raised the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder by ₹42.

Before that, commercial LPG prices had also seen a sharp increase in May.

Although commercial LPG prices have now been reduced, domestic cooking gas prices continue to remain unchanged.

According to government sources, household LPG prices are being protected from fluctuations in global energy prices, even as state-owned oil marketing companies face higher costs due to expensive LPG imports.

One of the key reasons for the higher import cost is the increase in the Saudi Contract Price (CP), which serves as the benchmark for India’s LPG imports.
