Amid the ongoing LPG crisis, many families in India are facing shortages and rising prices.
People are worried about irregular supply and the extra financial burden caused by higher fuel costs.
In the middle of tensions in the Middle East, there is some relief.
The Indian tanker “Green Sanvari” successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz carrying 46,650 tonnes of LPG.
This amount can cover almost half of India’s daily LPG needs.
Another ship from Iran has also reached Mangalore port, showing that fuel supplies are continuing despite regional tensions.
According to a government statement, the Green Sanvari is the seventh Indian LPG tanker to pass through the Strait of Hormuz since the waterway was nearly closed following US and Israeli attacks on Iran on February 28.
