WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund on Tuesday announced the launch of a new New Fund Offering (NFO) named WhiteOak Capital Consumption Opportunities Fund.

It is an open-ended equity mutual fund based on the consumption theme. The NFO is currently open for subscription and will close on February 3.

The fund aims to help investors build wealth over the long term by investing in companies linked to India’s domestic consumption.

Investment Objective and Strategy

The WhiteOak Capital Consumption Opportunities Fund focuses on investing in Indian companies that benefit from household spending and consumption.

The fund mainly invests in equity markets and selects companies involved in daily-use goods, services, and other consumption-related businesses.

The fund’s benchmark index is the Nifty India Consumption Total Return Index, which tracks the performance of consumption-based sectors. The scheme targets companies with strong leadership, solid business models, and the ability to generate long-term returns.

Fund Management and Scheme Details

The fund will be managed by an experienced investment team.

Ramesh Mantri, Tripti Agarwal, and Dheerish Pathak will handle the equity investments.

Iyush Barnwal will manage the debt portion of the fund.

The scheme will be available in both Direct and Regular plans and will offer only the growth option.

It is not restricted to any specific market capitalization, such as large-cap, mid-cap, or small-cap stocks. Instead, it will look for opportunities across the entire consumption value chain.

India’s Consumption Growth and Investor Opportunity

According to WhiteOak Capital, India’s consumption is expected to grow steadily in the coming years. This growth is driven by factors such as a rising population, increasing income levels, urban expansion, wider use of digital services,

and better access to credit. Government efforts to support manufacturing and infrastructure, along with foreign investments, are also boosting consumption.

Ashish Somaiya, CEO of WhiteOak Capital, stated that this fund provides investors with a well-planned way to invest in India’s consumption-driven companies and is suitable for those looking to create long-term wealth.
