Launched with the help of public sector banks, this account brings all financial services under one roof.

The Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, says this initiative aims to improve the financial well-being and social security of central government employees.
It aligns with the government’s vision of “Developed India 2047” and the goal to provide insurance coverage for all by 2047.
Banking Benefits for Employees
The package offers a host of banking facilities designed to make financial management easier:
Zero balance salary account with advanced features
Free money transfers through RTGS, NEFT, UPI, and cheques
Low-interest loans for home, education, vehicle, and personal needs
Waiver of loan processing charges
Discounts on locker rent
This ensures employees can handle their day-to-day banking conveniently and cost-effectively.
Insurance and Family Benefits
The Salary Account Package also comes with extensive insurance coverage for employees and their families:
Personal accident insurance up to ₹1.5 crore
Air accident insurance up to ₹2 crore
Permanent total or partial disability coverage up to ₹1.5 crore
Term life insurance up to ₹20 lakh, with top-up options for enhanced coverage
Health insurance for self and family, including base and top-up plans at affordable premiums
This package helps ensure financial security for employees and their families in case of emergencies.
Digital Convenience and Card Benefits
The account also offers digital and card-related benefits:
Better rewards and offers on debit and credit cards
Airport lounge access and cashback offers
Unlimited transactions with zero maintenance fees
All payments for reserved transactions are encouraged digitally, and refunds are processed quickly, making the account modern and convenient.
Important Note
This facility is only available to central government employees.
State government or private sector employees are not eligible.
