In recent days, IndiGo passengers have faced massive disruptions due to flight cancellations and delays.

Many travelers complained on social media that refunds were taking too long, causing widespread frustration.

Seeing the situation escalate, the Ministry of Civil Aviation stepped in and instructed the airline to process all pending refunds immediately.

The Ministry has set a strict deadline: all pending refunds must be cleared by 8 pm on December 7, 2025.

Failure to comply may lead to immediate action against the airline.

How to File a Refund Complaint

If your IndiGo flight was cancelled and your refund hasn’t arrived, filing a complaint is now easier than ever.

Visit the airline’s website: Go to the Customer Support section, select refund complaints, and upload your PNR, mobile number, and other details.

Use the Ministry’s AirSewa portal or app: This platform allows immediate complaint registration.

Once you file a complaint, you will receive a tracking number to monitor updates at every stage.

The Ministry has instructed IndiGo to ensure passengers do not have to repeatedly follow up via calls or emails.

Once a complaint is lodged, processing must start immediately, and refunds issued promptly.

Dedicated Refund Support for Passengers

To handle the surge in complaints, the Ministry has directed IndiGo to set up a Passenger Support and Refund Facilitation Cell.

This dedicated team will contact passengers directly when their flights are cancelled or disrupted.

The Ministry also emphasized that the airline’s automatic refund system must continue until normal operations resume.

This ensures that refunds are initiated immediately after a cancellation without any passenger request.

This change is a big relief, as it eliminates the previous hassle of repeatedly following up for refunds.
