Banks must Send Pension Payment Slips Monthly

The Department of Pension & Pensioner’s Welfare (DoPPW) under the Ministry of Personnel has issued a fresh Office Memorandum (OM) regarding monthly Pension Payment Slips for all central civil pensioners and family pensioners.

The reminder comes as the DoPPW continues to receive complaints from pensioners about not receiving their pension slips from banks.

Banks Must Provide Pension Slips

The DoPPW has asked all banks to strictly follow previous instructions on issuing pension slips.

All Central Pension Processing Centres (CPPCs) of authorized banks are instructed to provide the pension slip to every pensioner after crediting their pension or family pension.

Banks can issue these slips via multiple channels, including email.

Email Option and Alternative Methods

If a pensioner does not have an email, banks should collect the email address from the pensioner to ensure the slip can be sent electronically.

This ensures that every pensioner receives their payment details on time and reduces grievances.

By following these instructions, the DoPPW aims to ensure transparent and timely communication of pension payments to all central civil pensioners and their families.
