A special campaign is underway in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, from November 25 to December 25 to issue Ayushman cards to all families and members who have not yet received them.
The campaign involves multiple departments including Medical and Health, Panchayati Raj, Food and Logistics, Child Development and Nutrition, Medical Education, and Education.
All departments have been instructed to provide full support for the smooth implementation of the campaign.
How the Campaign Is Being Organized
District Magistrate Dr. Indramani Tripathi chaired a meeting to ensure proper coordination.
At the block level, the Block Development Officer (BDO) and Medical Superintendent are appointed as nodal officers.
At the village level, the village head will supervise the campaign.
Dr. Shishir Puri, Additional Chief Medical Officer, stated that out of 160,216 eligible families, 140,282 families have already received at least one Ayushman card.
The campaign aims to issue cards for the remaining families and cover a total of 293,041 members from already enrolled families.
What Is the Ayushman Card?
The Ayushman Card is issued under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY).
It provides cashless treatment up to ₹5 lakh per year at government and listed private hospitals.
The card is completely free for eligible families.
How to Get an Ayushman Card
Take your Aadhaar card and ration card to a camp or CSC center.
Your eligibility will be verified.
If eligible, an Ayushman card will be issued on the spot.
