NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL), part of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has launched a new feature called UPI Circle Full Delegation on the BHIM Payments App.
This feature allows users to authorise trusted contacts to make UPI payments directly from their account, within a set monthly spending limit.
It’s designed to make shared financial management, like household or business payments, simpler while keeping full control and transparency.
How Does UPI Circle Full Delegation Work?
With this feature, a primary user can give a secondary user permission to initiate and complete UPI payments from the primary user’s account.
Key points include:
Monthly limit: Up to ₹15,000
Validity period: 1 month to 5 years
Full control: Primary users can monitor all transactions
This system makes daily digital payments easier for families, dependents, or staff, even if they don’t have their own UPI ID or bank account.
Who Can Benefit from This Feature?
Senior Citizens:
Family members can help seniors make small payments independently, reducing hesitation around digital payments while ensuring security.
Young Adults:
Parents can give children controlled access to manage daily or educational expenses with a fixed monthly limit.
Small Business Owners:
Staff can be authorised to pay for operational expenses like fuel or tolls, maintaining transparency and avoiding cash handling.
Digitally Inexperienced Users:
Working professionals can support dependents unfamiliar with digital payments, giving them controlled access and real-time monitoring.
