Employee Enrolment Scheme 2025
In another update, the government recently launched the Employee Enrolment Scheme 2025, which encourages voluntary employee registration under the EPFO.
The scheme was introduced by Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya during the 73rd foundation day of EPFO.
He stated that EPFO is not just a fund but a symbol of the Indian workforce’s trust in social security.
The scheme took effect on 1 November 2025 and aims to help employers voluntarily declare and enrol eligible employees.
According to the Labour Ministry, the scheme falls under the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952.
