The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare, Government of India, has issued an important notice for all pensioners.
The department will launch the fourth nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) campaign from November 1 to November 30, 2025.
The goal of this campaign is to ensure that every pensioner can easily submit their life certificate without facing any trouble in receiving their pension.
How to Submit the Digital Life Certificate
To make the process easier, the government is taking support from Pension Disbursing Banks, India Post Payments Bank, Pensioners’ Welfare Associations, Railways, Department of Telecommunications, UIDAI, and the Ministry of Electronics.
Special Camps: Camps will be set up at selected banks and post offices where pensioners can submit their DLCs.
Home and Hospital Facility: Elderly or sick pensioners can also get their certificates generated at home or in the hospital.
Online Submission: Pensioners can submit their DLC through the Life Certificate Portal, postal services, or doorstep banking.
To generate a DLC, pensioners must have an Aadhaar or Virtual ID.
DLC Submission Dates
As per the Pension Department, all pensioners must submit their Digital Life Certificate between November 1 and 30, 2025.
However, senior pensioners aged 80 and above can submit their DLC starting October 1, 2025.
Since October is already half over, pensioners are advised to complete the process on time to avoid any delay in pension payments.
What is a Digital Life Certificate?
The Digital Life Certificate (DLC) is a biometric and Aadhaar-linked certificate that pensioners must submit every year.
It contains important details such as the pensioner’s Aadhaar number, name, mobile number, and PPO number.
This certificate confirms that the pensioner is alive, ensuring the uninterrupted continuation of their pension.
