Punjab National Bank (PNB) has announced changes in the charges for some of its services, effective from October 1, 2025.
These changes include locker rent, stop payment instruction, standing instruction (SI) failure charges, and nomination charges.
If you use a locker or avail these services in PNB, this update is important for you.
New Locker Rent Charges
PNB has revised locker rent based on locker size and branch location. The new rent will apply from the next annual rent date.
Small Locker
Rural: ₹1,000 (no change)
Semi-urban: ₹1,500 (earlier ₹1,250)
Urban & Metro: ₹2,000 (no change)
Medium Locker
Rural: ₹2,500 (earlier ₹2,200)
Semi-urban: ₹3,000 (earlier ₹2,500)
Urban & Metro: ₹4,000 (earlier ₹3,500)
Large Locker
Rural: ₹4,000 (earlier ₹2,500)
Semi-urban: ₹5,000 (earlier ₹3,000)
Urban: ₹6,500 (earlier ₹5,500)
Metro: ₹7,000 (earlier ₹5,500)
Very Large Locker
Rural: ₹6,000 (no change)
Semi-urban: ₹7,000 (earlier ₹6,000)
Urban: ₹8,500 (earlier ₹8,000)
Metro: ₹9,000 (earlier ₹8,000)
Extra Large Locker
Rural: ₹10,000 (no change)
Semi-urban: ₹10,500 (earlier ₹10,000)
Urban: ₹11,000 (earlier ₹10,000)
Metro: ₹12,000 (earlier ₹10,000)
Other Service Charges
Locker Registration Fee
Rural & Semi-urban: ₹200 for all lockers (no change)
Urban & Metro:
Small & Medium lockers: ₹500
Large, Very Large & Extra Large: ₹1,000
Stop Payment Instruction
Earlier: ₹100 (one cheque), ₹300 (three or more cheques)
Now: ₹100 (one cheque), ₹500 (five or more cheques)
Standing Instruction (SI) Failure
Earlier: ₹100 + remittance & postage charges per failed transaction
Now: Flat ₹100 per month + GST (covers up to three failed SIs).
For term loans and recurring deposits, max three SI transactions allowed.
Nomination Charges
First request: Free
From second request onwards: ₹100 each time
If nominee dies: No charge for submitting death certificate
