This follows a period of suspended air services due to escalating tensions, which included the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor.

After Pakistan targeted residential areas in India, flight services were temporarily halted as a safety measure. However, with the ceasefire in place, these restrictions have now been lifted.

Air Services Are Back to Normal

According to our CNBC-Awaaz correspondent Rohan Singh, air services have now returned to normal at the affected airports.

IndiGo Resumes Flights on Closed Routes

IndiGo, a major airline, has confirmed that it will restart its services on the routes that were previously closed.

However, the airline has cautioned that some flights might experience delays.

IndiGo has also stated that passengers can continue to avail themselves of the waiver on cancellation and rescheduling fees until May 22.

Other Airlines Expected to Follow Suit

Rohan Singh further mentioned that other airlines may soon announce their plans to resume services on the affected routes.

It is expected that airlines such as Air India and SpiceJet could also make similar announcements in the near future. Airlines are likely to restart operations gradually in the coming days.
