Bandhan Bank Introduces Online Direct Tax Payment Facility

Bandhan Bank has announced a new service enabling the online payment of direct taxes for both customers and non-customers across India.

The service was launched on Friday, enhancing the bank’s digital capabilities and aligning with the government’s e-Governance initiatives.

Bandhan Bank is now live for collecting Direct Taxes through the TIN 2.0 platform of the Income Tax Department.

As an Agency Bank appointed by the RBI, this facility allows Bandhan Bank customers to pay their Direct Taxes seamlessly and conveniently through various channels:

Retail Internet Banking

Corporate Internet Banking

Payment Gateway (Debit Card, Credit Card, and Internet Banking)

Additionally, taxes can be paid at any Bandhan Bank branch using cash, cheque, or demand draft.

This service is designed to facilitate hassle-free tax payments for both Bandhan Bank customers and non-customers across the country.

Debraj Saha, Head of the Government Business Group at Bandhan Bank, expressed pride in commencing operations as an Agency Bank for the Central Board of Direct Taxes.

He stated, “This is yet another addition to our Bank’s product suite comprising solutions powered by cutting-edge digital capabilities.

As the digital ecosystem is proliferating across the country to bring forward hassle-free superior convenience, we as a Bank are aligned with the Government’s initiative of e-Governance plan.”
