The 8th Pay Commission, which is very important for central government employees and pensioners, has started inviting suggestions and memorandums from different stakeholders.
Through its official website, the Commission announced that employees, pensioners, unions, and other stakeholders can share their opinions through an online portal.
This online portal has been open since March 5, 2026, and the last date to submit suggestions is April 30, 2026.
The Commission has clearly stated that only submissions made through the online portal will be accepted. Paper documents, emails, or PDF files will not be considered.
Therefore, employees or organizations who want to raise issues related to salary, allowances, or other benefits must submit their proposals online before the deadline.
Who Can Submit Suggestions
According to the message released on the official website of the 8th Pay Commission, several groups can share their opinions in this process. These include:
Central government employees (industrial and non-industrial)
Officers of All India Services
Personnel of the Defence Forces
Employees of Union Territories
Officers and employees of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department
Members of regulatory bodies created under laws passed by Parliament (except RBI)
Employees of the Supreme Court and High Courts
Judicial officers of subordinate courts
Pensioners and employee unions
Apart from these groups, central government ministries, departments, organizations, union territory administrations, employee unions, researchers,
and academic experts can also send their suggestions to the Commission.
The Commission has also issued an 18-question questionnaire to collect feedback on issues such as pay structure, allowances, benefits,
and rules. Responses to these questions must also be submitted online, and the deadline for answering them is March 16, 2026.
Important Update for Over One Crore Employees and Pensioners
The 8th Pay Commission is very significant for more than 10 million central government employees and pensioners. Its recommendations will directly affect their salaries, allowances, pensions, and overall purchasing power.
Because of this, many employee organizations have already started preparing their proposals. According to Shivaji Vasireddy, General Secretary of the Federation of National Postal Organizations (FNPO), employee groups are preparing detailed proposals for the Commission, which may run into hundreds of pages.
The government launched the official website of the 8th Pay Commission (8cpc.gov.in) in February 2026.
This website is now the main platform for all information related to the Commission. Notifications, questionnaires, recruitment circulars, and other official updates are regularly published on this site.
The main goal of the Commission is to review salaries, allowances, and other benefits and adjust them according to current needs and the work requirements of different departments.
