There is good news for central government employees and pensioners. The 8th Central Pay Commission has once again extended the deadline for submitting suggestions and memorandums.

The decision is important for around 50 lakh central government employees and 65 lakh pensioners, including serving and retired defence personnel.

New Deadline Announced

The Pay Commission has now extended the last date for submitting memorandums to June 15, 2026.

Earlier, the deadline was May 31, 2026. Before that, it had been set as April 30, 2026. This is the second time the Commission has extended the submission deadline, giving stakeholders more time to share their views.

Why This Matters for Employees

The 8th Pay Commission launched its official website earlier this year and invited suggestions from employees, pensioners, employee unions, and other stakeholders.

To submit suggestions, users need to select their category on the website and complete the online form after OTP verification through their mobile number or email.

The form allows stakeholders to send recommendations on several important issues, including:

Salary revision

Fitment factor

Allowances

Pension structure

Pay matrix

After submission, applicants receive a unique Memo ID. This ID can be used to track the application and request meetings with the Commission.

The Commission has clarified that all memorandums must be submitted online through its official website.
