CNG users in Delhi-NCR will now have to spend more to fill their vehicles. CNG prices have increased by ₹3.89 per kg from Saturday morning.
In Delhi, the new CNG price is ₹86.98 per kg.
The latest hike comes as the cost of imported LNG, which is used to meet part of the region’s CNG demand, has increased.
The new prices came into effect at 6 am on Saturday.
Why Has CNG Become More Expensive?
According to Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), a significant portion of the gas used for CNG supply comes from imported LNG.
International spot LNG prices have increased since the beginning of the West Asia conflict, raising the cost of procuring gas.
At the same time, India’s economic growth and rising demand for CNG have increased the need for imported spot LNG.
IGL said the increase in international LNG prices has created a higher input cost.
Therefore, the company has increased CNG prices by ₹3.89 per kg to partly cover the additional cost.
What Is the New CNG Price in Delhi-NCR?
The new price is different across cities and regions.
In Delhi, CNG now costs ₹86.98 per kg.
In Noida and Ghaziabad, the price has increased to ₹95.59 per kg, while CNG in Gurugram now costs ₹92.01 per kg.

CNG Price Has Increased Significantly Since May
The latest hike comes after CNG prices had already increased in recent months.
In early May this year, CNG in Delhi was priced at around ₹77.09 per kg.
With the latest revision, the price has now reached ₹86.98 per kg in the national capital.
This means CNG users are facing a noticeably higher fuel bill compared with a few months ago.
What Does This Mean for CNG Vehicle Owners?
The price increase will directly affect people who depend on CNG cars, taxis, auto-rickshaws and other CNG-powered vehicles.
For daily commuters and commercial vehicle owners, even a few rupees of increase per kilogram can add to monthly fuel expenses.
With international LNG prices remaining high, the cost of CNG could continue to depend on global gas prices and the availability of domestic gas.
For now, the revised rates are already applicable across the affected areas from 6 am Saturday.
