8 Post Offices in Telangana to Stay Open All Week

The Indian Postal Department has introduced a major upgrade in Telangana, especially in Hyderabad and nearby areas.

Eight major post offices in the state will now remain open seven days a week, including public holidays. These centers will also offer a 24-hour booking facility.

With this change, people can now use important postal services—speed post, parcel delivery, document sending, and money-related services—at any time of the day.

Earlier, customers had to delay their work because post offices stayed closed on weekends and holidays.

A Big Help for Customers and Businesses

This new system is especially beneficial for businesses, e-commerce sellers, and students who often need postal services on Sundays or holidays.

Now, they can send parcels, products, or documents anytime.

Armaan, an e-commerce business owner, shared his experience:
“This is a great initiative.

We usually face heavy shipment pressure on Mondays because the post office is closed on Sundays.

With this new system, we can ship orders even on Sundays, which will reduce workload and help customers receive their items faster.”

A senior postal official also highlighted that this move supports the department’s goal of improving customer-friendly services.

Hyderabad, being a major IT and industrial hub, has a continuous need for postal and logistics services.

With 24×7 operations at these eight centers, the postal department can meet this demand more efficiently.

This step also helps the Indian Postal Department stay competitive with private courier companies and shows that it is moving away from its traditional image.

It is now becoming more dynamic, modern, and focused on providing services that meet today’s needs.
