Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Program (FTITTP): Long immigration lines at airports are a big hassle for many passengers, leading to delays and frustration.
To solve this problem, the Union Home Ministry has launched a new scheme called the Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Program (FTITTP).
This initiative is specially designed for Indian passport holders and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders.
It uses advanced technology to make immigration fast and smooth—passengers will be able to complete the process in just 30 seconds.
Online Identity Verification for Faster Clearance
Under the FTITTP, your identity will be verified online in advance, which will mark you as a ‘trusted traveller’. You must register online to use this service, and the best part is—it’s completely free.
Registration can be done from home by visiting the Ministry of Home Affairs’ official website: www.ftittp.mha.gov.in. Once registered, you’ll be able to use the automated e-gates at the airport to skip long queues.
How to Register for FTITTP
Follow these simple steps to register:
Visit www.ftittp.mha.gov.in
Click on the ‘Register’ or ‘Sign Up’ button on the homepage
Fill in the required details:
Full name (as per passport)
Date of birth
Passport number, issue date, and expiry date
OCI card details (if applicable)
Mobile number and email ID
Upload scanned copies of the first and last pages of your passport (size: 10 KB to 1 MB)
Submit the form. After successful registration, a confirmation email will be sent to you.
Quick Immigration Using e-Gates
Once registered under FTITTP, you can skip the regular immigration queue and directly head to the e-gates at the airport. Here’s what you need to do there:
Scan your passport and boarding pass at the designated machine
A camera at the gate will verify your biometric data (face recognition)
If the identity match is successful, the gate will open automatically
The entire process will take just 30 seconds, saving you time and avoiding unnecessary stress.
This program is part of the government’s push for faster, digital-first travel services for Indian and OCI travellers.
It offers a smart and secure way to speed through airport immigration without standing in long lines.
