Farmers across India are eagerly waiting for the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Looking at past years, the installments were released in the last week of February — the 19th installment in 2025 on February 24, the 16th installment in 2024 on February 28,

and the 13th installment in 2023 on February 27. Based on this pattern, it is expected that the 22nd installment may also be released in the last week of February.

Under this scheme, the government sends money directly to farmers’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This system ensures transparency and removes the role of middlemen.

How Farmers Can Check Beneficiary List and Status

Farmers waiting for the 22nd installment can check updates on the official website: https://pmkisan.gov.in.

To see their name in the Beneficiary List, they need to select their state, district, tehsil, block, and village on the website. The installment amount will be credited only if their name appears on this list.

It is also very important that the farmer’s Aadhaar card is linked with their bank account. If Aadhaar is not linked, the payment may be delayed.

The government updates the beneficiary list before every installment, so farmers should check their details on time.

Farmers can also check their payment status using the “Know Your Status” option, the mobile app, or the Kisan e-Mitra chatbot.

If e-KYC is not complete, they should visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) immediately to finish the process.

Sometimes installments get delayed due to errors in Aadhaar seeding or bank details, so farmers must correct any mistakes quickly. The government has clearly said that only eligible and verified farmers will receive the next installment.

21st Installment and Scheme Details

The 21st installment of the scheme was released on November 19, transferring about ₹18,000 crore to more than 93.5 million farmers.

The scheme was launched on December 1, 2018, and is fully funded by the central government. It provides financial support of ₹6,000 per year to farmers, given in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.

So far, more than ₹3.70 lakh crore has been distributed to over 110 million farmer families in 20 installments. Farmers are hopeful that the 22nd installment will also be released on time, which will help them manage their farming expenses.
