As the festive season kicks off in India, Maruti Suzuki India has introduced the CNG variant of its popular hatchback, the Maruti Swift.
Launched on September 12, 2024, this new model aims to compete with other hatchbacks in the CNG segment, such as the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS and Tata Tiago.
The company claims that the Swift CNG will offer an impressive mileage of 32 kmpl, setting a new benchmark in fuel efficiency.
Maruti Swift S-CNG Price and Specifications
The Maruti Swift S-CNG is priced starting from ₹8.19 lakh. Under the hood, it retains the 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine from the standard model.
In CNG mode, this engine produces a maximum torque of 101.8 Nm at 2900 rpm and a power output of 51.3 kW (69.75 PS) at 5700 rpm.
It delivers a fuel efficiency of 32.85 kilometers per kilogram.
Recent Updates and Features
Earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki launched the 4th generation of the Swift on May 9.
This model includes several safety features such as 6 airbags, hill hold assist, and 3-point seat belts.
The new Swift also boasts a 1.2-liter engine, providing a mileage of 25.75 kmpl in the AMT variant.
It has undergone crash testing in Japan, earning a 4-star safety rating.
The premium version of the new Swift is equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and wireless charging capabilities.
