Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has pulled off a surprise by launching the 2023 CB200X, a stylish adventure tourer that’s sure to turn heads.
Priced at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom), this new offering boasts an OBD2 compliant engine and a fresh set of body graphics.
Yogesh Mathur, Sales and Marketing Director at HMSI, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to introduce the 2023 CB200X with an OBD2 compliant engine, stylish graphics, and a new assist and slipper clutch.
This marks steady growth in the 180-200cc motorcycle segment. The CB200X Urban Explorer is inspired by the dreams of the new-age customer.”
Design and Features: Aesthetic Updates
While the core design of the CB200X remains largely unchanged, Honda has infused it with a breath of fresh air through new paint schemes and updated graphics.
The bike is now available in three attractive color options: Pearl Nightstar Black, Sports Red, and the all-new Decent Blue Metallic.
As for features, the CB200X boasts a full digital instrument panel, including a speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, twin trip meter, battery voltmeter, gear position indicator, and clock.
Furthermore, it comes equipped with an all-LED lighting system for enhanced visibility.
Engine and Transmission: Performance Revamped
Powering the Honda CB200X is a 184.40cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers a peppy 17 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 15.9 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
The engine has been updated to comply with OBD2 standards and meets the stringent BS-6 Phase-2 emission norms.
To complement the engine, the CB200X features a 5-speed gearbox with a new slip-and-assist clutch for smoother gear transitions.
Hardware: Comfort and Control
In terms of hardware, the CB200X boasts a golden-colored upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock for its suspension setup.
The bike is equipped with disc brakes and a single-channel ABS system, ensuring optimal stopping power.
It offers a comfortable seat height of 810mm and maintains a ground clearance of 167mm.
Despite its stylish design and robust features, the CB200X remains lightweight, tipping the scales at just 147 kg.
