Customers who hold credit cards issued by SBI and ICICI Bank can now take advantage of a new feature. They can perform UPI transactions using their RuPay Credit Cards from these banks.
To avail this facility, customers are required to link their credit cards with the UPI app.
The service is currently available on the Bhim App (BHIM), operated by NPCI.
By linking your RuPay Credit Card, issued by SBI or ICICI Bank, with the BHIM app, you can conveniently make online payments.
Simply scan the Merchant UPI QR code when shopping at local grocery stores or other establishments.
11 banks’ RuPay credit cards are currently supported on the BHIM app.
This means that customers from these banks can link their RuPay credit cards and make UPI payments using the same process as they would with a bank account.
The only difference is that the payment will be deducted from their RuPay credit card.
